Former Twitter executives previously sued Elon Musk for allegedly withholding more than $128 million in severance payments after they were ousted.

Kordestani served as the company's executive chairman from 2015 to 2020 and stayed on the board for two more years, until Musk bought the platform for $44 billion. He said in the complaint that the bulk of his compensation was stock, which he says Musk is refusing to pay out.
Lawyers for the former chairman claim that X Corp., as Musk renamed the company, is seeking to “reap the benefits of Mr. Kordestani's seven years of service to Twitter without paying him for it.”Elon Musk's X Sued for
The lawsuit, filed in California Superior Court in San Francisco, is the latest in a series of legal actions taken against Musk by former leaders at Twitter since he took over. In March, four ex-executives sued Musk for allegedly withholding more than $128 million in severance payments after they were ousted from the company.
Elon Musk's X Agrees to Not Use Personal Data of EU Users for AI Training
Lawyers for X are due to file opposition papers against the suspension order by September 4, the court heard.
Social media platform X agreed on Thursday not to train its AI systems for now using the personal data collected from European Union users before they had the option to withdraw their consent, an Irish court heard on Thursday.Elon Musk's X Sued for
Ireland's Data Protection Commission, the lead EU regulator for most of the top US internet firms due to the location of their EU operations in the country, this week sought an order to suspend or restrict X from processing the data of users for the purposes of developing, training or refining its AI systems.Elon Musk's X Sued for
Elon Musk-owned X has said it allows all users to decide if their public posts can be used by the platform's Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot, Grok. To do so users have to untick a box in their privacy settings to opt out.
However Judge Leonie Reynolds said it was clear that X began processing EU users' data to train its AI systems on May 7 and only offered the option to opt out from July 16. The feature was also not initially rolled out to all users, she said.
A lawyer for the platform formerly known as Twitter said the data collected from EU users between May 7 and August 1 would not be used until proceedings on the Irish Data Protection Commission's (DPC) order are decided by the court.

On a post on the social media platform on Wednesday, the X Global Government Affairs account said the order sought by the regulator was "unwarranted, overboard and singles out X without any justification."
The regulator's concerns over how X uses the data follows Meta Platforms' decision in June not to launch its Meta AI models in Europe for the time being after the Irish DPC told it to delay its plan.Elon Musk's X Sued for
Alphabet's Google also agreed to delay and make changes to its Gemini AI chatbot earlier this year following consultations with the Irish regulator.
Elon Musk Says Grok AI Will Be Available to All Premium Subscribers on X ‘Later This Week’
Elon Musk, the owner of X (formerly known as Twitter), announced on Wednesday that Grok AI, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered chatbot made by xAI, will be made available to all Premium subscribers of the platform. The move comes just days after the billionaire made its large language model (LLM) Grok-1 available in open source. So far, the AI chatbot was only bundled with the most expensive subscription plan Premium+, but now it is being added to the Premium tier as well. The Basic tier will still not be able to access Grok AI.Elon Musk's X Sued for
Musk made the announcement via a post on X where he said, “Later this week, Grok will be enabled for all premium subscribers (not just premium+).” While he did not specify the exact date when this will be rolled out, it is believed to be made available before April. Currently, the chatbot is available in 48 countries including India, and all of the regions are likely to get the expansion of Grok to the Premium tier.Elon Musk's X Sued for
In India, the Premium+ subscription to X comes at the price of Rs. 1,300 a month or Rs. 13,600 a year. In contrast, the Premium tier costs Rs. 650 a month or Rs. 6,800 a year. The extra benefits in the Premium+ tier currently include access to Grok, no ads shown (vs fewer ads in Premium compared to Basic), the largest reply boost in all tiers, and the ability to write and publish articles directly on X.
