They can learn C++ later in life (if they can't help it), after they've learned better languages. I would say that any language is a suitable start but especially C++ (or equivivalent). ... Bluntly put, if you can't figure out entry-level C++ syntax and semantics, you're not that good at computers. It's not that hard.
